So to review:
1) Vaccines don’t cause autism. The man who did the single study on which the entire anti-vax movement hangs its hat? He has had his credentials as a doctor stripped, been sued repeatedly, and has *admitted that he lied about the study.* He admitted he fixed the results so they’d be the results that the people who were paying him wanted.
2) Vaccines don’t cause autism but they /do/ decrease the herd immunity of the human race.
3) Herd immunity is important. Herd immunity is what means we don’t have polio, or smallpox, or whoop—
— oh, you mean all of those things are making a comeback?
Vaccinate your kids.
It doesn’t cause autism. An extremely, extremely limited number of people will react to vaccines — but your child’s chances of reacting to vaccines is minuscule compared to your child’s — or your — chances of dying from a really fucking horrifying disease if we don’t reverse this trend.
And for fuck’s sake, stop blaming vaccines for autism. My son was born with his brain wired differently. He’s neurodiverse. He isn’t brain-damaged.
Society loves to portray the Black Panthers as the villains in America. They’ll only tell you that they held guns and were “militant”. The Black Panthers did many positive things for the Black Community; the Free Breakfast Program is one of them. It was designed to feed Black Children a good breakfast each morning so they could retain information at school. Too many Black Children, to this very day, go to school hungry because they cannot afford food in the morning. It has been proven that students do not learn as well when they are hungry. The Panthers were aware of this and wanted to ensure they had the opportunity to receive an adequate meal. As Huey said, “The Children always inherit the Revolution” so obviously they needed and still need to be invested in. They’ll never tell you about this but I’m not surprised. “I Do Not Expect The White Media to Show Positive Black Images.” Written By @KingKwajo

Always reblogging the Free Breakfast Program and the People’s Free Food Program.
White feminism isn’t feminism and Miley is a great example of it. Miley Cyrus says she’s one of the biggest feminists in the world because she preaches body positivity and is anti slut shaming. However in the same breath she will culturally appropriate and use women of color and little people as props for her “shocking” performances and music videos. People say how revolutionary she is that she twerks and is open with her sexuality even though Rihanna and Nicki Minaj have been doing these same things for years.
Actual feminism is intersectional. Actual feminism looks at rape culture, slut shaming AND looks after our WoC, trans, and little people sisters. Unless you include all women and women identifiers, your feminism isn’t doing jack.
That’s why white feminism is fascinating. They have a lot of talk but it’s just a lot of air and a waste of your time.
Skin lightening advertising from across the world. No matter where you go, lightness is a hot commodity.
They are under pressure to conform to white beauty standards like nearly all poc are
but that being said a lot of white people or ‘outsiders looking in’ assume a lot more asian people are doing this than there actually are. ‘Western clothes’ have become the standard due to colonization and western imperialism. Wearing them does not mean we ‘want to be white’ or we’re appropriating white culture. Neither does getting cosmetic surgery, dyeing our hair, wearing contacts, or whatever else.
And also, I don’t even like the term “eastern vs western”, they’re eurocentric anyways and completely ignore everything south of the US.
Photoshopping does more than alter our sense of body image in terms of weight. It also portrays false ideals of skin pigment.

Being Queer doesn’t excuse colonialism
Being Gay doesn’t excuse sexism
Being Trans doesn’t excuse racism
Being a feminist doesn’t excuse anti-sex worker descrimination
Not recognizing intersectionality in struggle (or refusing to recognize it outright) isn’t excuseable
